Truro Raceway has cancelled five of its remaining harness racing cards.
A release by the track said the decision was forced by a decline in revenue from wagering sources. All card from Sep. 24 to Oct. 22 have been cancelled.
The track’s next date, Sep. 17, will go ahead. The last two cards of the season on Oct. 29 and Nov. 5 remain on the calendar “pending a decision on those moving forward in the next 30 days.”
The cancellations will also force the relocation of the track’s new slot race, the Diamond Classic, which was set for Oct. 22.
