Twin B Joe Fresh (Roll With Joe) produced an eye-catching harness racing performance in the $305,000 Roses Are Red on Saturday (Jun. 15) at Woodbine Mohawk Park in a lifetime-best 1:48.
Dexter Dunn dropped her in fourth going to the quarter in :26.2 and put her on top in the last of three lead changes before the half in :54.2. Twin B Joe Fresh led around the final turn with Sylvia Hanover (Bob McClure) on her typical first-over grind to three-quarters in 1:21.2.
Sylvia Hanover raced gamely down the stretch, but Twin B Joe Fresh fired clear by several lengths and coasted to the line with the plugs in for the victory.
Sylvia Hanover narrowed the gap to a length-and-a-half in a strong place finish. Always B Naughty took show.
Twin B Joe Fresh added another victory to her impressive career record, improving to 22-for-31 with her latest stakes win. The mare has won three straight, starting the the Betsy Ross on May 26. Chris Ryder trains the four-year-old, who has now earned $1,698,923, and co-owns her with Dunn, Peter Trebotica of Bordentown, and Barry Spak of Thornton.
