Muchtooyoungforyou (Flameproof Hanover) and Woodmere Flojo (Arthur Blue Chip) both took their first career harness racing victories in Atlantic Sires Stakes A divisions for two-year-old pacing fillies on Wednesday (Jul. 24) at Inverness Raceway.
In the first split, Muchtooyoungforyou cut the mile with David Downling in the bike. She fought off the first-up Lorne Valley Liv (Adam Merner) and held on by a neck over Jafetica (Myles Heffernan) in 2:02.4. Tobins Dream (Rod Gillis) finished third.
MUCHTOOYOUNGFORYOU REPLAY
Muchtooyoungforyou is one-for-two lifetime for trainer Earl Watts. The filly debuted a week ago with a place finish in the P.E.I. Colt Stakes. Windemere Farms, River Valley Management, and Matt Burke share ownership of the two-year-old.
Woodmere Flojo (Merner) sat the pocket, chased down a loose leader after the early pacesetter broke, and held on by three-quarters-of-a-length in 1:59.4 in the second division. Saulsbrook Inferno (Dowling), who was previously perfect in two starts, was second. Ruthless Diva (Bordy MacPhee) completed the triactor.
WOODMERE FLOJO REPLAY
Woodmere Flojo had two previous starts, a place finish in the Atlantic Sires Stakes and a third in the P.E.I. Colt Stakes. Jamie Smith trains the two-year-old, who has now earned $12,829, for Gowiththeflo Racing.
The B division winner was Windemere Fluster (Articulator, Dowling) in 2:01.4 for trainer Watts and owners Windemere Farms, Robert Di Nozzi, and Kent Dollar.
Inverness Racing will host its next card on Sunday, Jul. 28.
