Two drivers in hospital after Grand River accident

An accident occurred in the final race at Grand River Raceway on Friday (Aug. 13).

The judges declared the race a no contest following an accident on the first turn. Hes Got The Money, driven by Tyler Borth, entered the first turn second on the inside but broke stride and fell. Shanghai Ky (Lorne House), Jordan Deo (Anthony Haughan), and Thatmomentinlife (Colin Kelly) all ran into Hes Got The Money and fell.

The track later tweeted that all horses walked off the track and were unhurt.

According to Standardbred Canada, Borth and Haughan were both transferred to the hospital after being assessed at the track.
