Splash Of Pink (All Bets Off) and Sis (Sportswriter) snagged key first career wins in the second leg of the Prospect Series for Ontario-sired two-year-old harness racing fillies on Monday (Oct. 24) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
Splash Of Pinkās 9-1 win came in last-to-first fashion, as Daniel Obrianās filly circled the first pacing division field in the final eighth of a mile to win in 1:53.1. She beat leg one winner Talk Curdy To Me (James MacDonald) by three-quarters of a length. Sunny Dreams (Bob McClure) finished third.

The filly has previously winless in 12 starts. She has earned $18,640 for Obrian, who owns, trains, and drives his $9,000 Ontario Select sale purchase.
Sis rallied from a gapped pocket to catch pacesetter Charming Vixen (McClure) to take the second pacing division in 1:53.2 at 7-1. Gimmie A Corona (Austin Sorrie) also passed Charming Vixen for second. The latter held the show spot.
SIS REPLAY
It was Sisās first win in 10 starts to date. The James Dean-trained filly has earned $22,376 for Ennismore-based owners Wilma and James Mackenzie.
Miss Expo (Alarm Detector, Sylvain Fillion) met expectations in the trotting division. The opening-leg winner scored comfortably from the front in 1:57. Enola (McClure) finished second over Sant Ambroggio (Obrian).
MISS EXPO REPLAY
Miss Expo is now two-for-three with a pair of wins in the series after a well-beaten debut start. Shane Weber trains the filly, whose bankroll now totals $17,000, for Tom and Elizabeth Rankin of St. Catharines.
The $40,000A final of the Harvest Series for rookie fillies is set for Monday, Oct. 31 at Woodbine Mohawk Park.
