Green Manalishi two-year-olds Monalishi and Galen Erso went back-to-back in their Ontario Sires Stakes Gold harness racing divisions on Thursday (Jul. 25) at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Monalishi, driven by Jody Jamieson, captured the second split for two-year-old trotting fillies. She cut :28.3, :59.2, and 1:28.4 fractions and held the persistent Foxy Amee (Paul MacDonell) at bay by a head to win in 1:56.4. Incantation (Sylvain Filion) was third-best, four-and-a-quarter-lengths back.
MONALISHI REPLAY
Monalishi is now two-for-three with $95,000 in earnings. She broke on debut in the Tompkins-Geers but came back two weeks later to win the first Gold leg. Blake Macintosh conditions the $28,000 Harrisburg purchase and co-owns her with Tim Klemencic of Trenton.
In the second group of two-year-old trotting colts and geldings, Galen Erso (Doug McNair) took over early on the backstretch and commanded the race all the way home. He scored in 1:56 by two-and-a-half lengths over Rising Interest (Tyler Borth) and Wearing The Green (Jamieson), who were second and third, respectively, in a blanket finish.
GALEN ERSO REPLAY
Galen Erso has won two straight Golds after a third-place finish in her first lifetime outing in the Tompkins-Geers. Gregg McNair trains the colt for owner/breeder Marcus Melander. The two-year-old has now earned $84,918.
Medley Seelster (Wheeling N Dealin) made it back-to-back victories in the second filly division, getting up by a neck for Jamieson in 1:55.3. Baden Baden (Tyler Jones) was a tough second after a first-over trek. Th Monica (James MacDonald) set the pace and stayed with them to finish third.
MEDLEY SEELSTER REPLAY
Medley Seelster lost her first three starts with a place effort in the Tompkins-Geers but has now won two straight. The Macintosh student has earned $71,010 in five starts for Glenn Dyke of Townsend.
You Got It Kemp (Muscle Mass, Filion) won his Ontario Sires Stakes debut in the first colt and gelding split. The gelding got room late from the pocket and vaulted past Call Me Parker (MacDonald), getting up by three-quarters-of-a-length in 1:56.2. Call Me Parker finished second, two lengths in front of Shutter Green (Bob McClure).
YOU GOT IT KEMP REPLAY
You Got It Kemp finished second in his first start on Jul. 16 in an overnight race. Daniel Lagace trains the gelding and shares ownership with Brady and Brooke Lagace and Suojalampi Stable. The freshman now has $35,667 in the bank.
Sound N Vision (Royalty For Life, McClure) fired off second-over cover and rolled from fifth to first in the stretch for the 1:57.3 victory. Lookatmegoamigo (Louis-Philippe Roy) was beaten a length-and-a-half in second with Chicago Hall (MacDonald) behind him in third.

Sound N Vision, trained by Mark Etsell, was a closing fifth in his first start on Jul. 9 and broke his maiden a week later. Etsell co-owns the colt, now with $43,942 in earnings, with Terry Devos, Peter Porter, and Denise Turner.
Racing is scheduled to continue at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Friday, Jul. 26 at 7:10 p.m. EDT. The 10-race card will feature the first leg of the Dream Maker for two-year-old pacers.
