T H Jackies Legacy (Bettors Delight) and Razzin Jazz (Racing Hill) took their first harness racing career wins in two-year-old events on Monday (Jul. 3) at Grand River Raceway.
T H Jackies Legacy made two moves to lead at every station for Travis Cullen with fractions of :29.2, :59.3, and 1:29.4. She then survived the charge of Too Easy (Dennis Duford) by a head to win in 1:59.4. Queen Of The Deck (Lorne House) was seven lengths back in third.
T H JACKIES LEGACY REPLAY
It was T H Jackies Legacyās career debut. The coalition of Travis Cullen, Ronald Cullen, and Blair Kidd bought the filly from the London Classic sale for $33,000. Jodie Cullen trains the filly.
Razzin Jazz, making her second start, hunted down Cheddar Crossing (Travis Henry) from the pocket and won by a neck in 1:59.2 for Ondrej Gois. Greatest Pleasure (Samuel Fillion) took the show placing.
RAZZIN JAZZ REPLAY
Gois trains Razzin Jazz, a $7,000 Ohio Select sale buy, for Gino Toscani of Mount Hope. The filly was a well-beaten sixth in her debut at Woodbine Mohawk Park. She is now one-for-two with $3,000 in earnings.
Jodie and Travis Cullen won three more on the day for a team grand slam.
Grand River Raceway will host racing again on Wednesday, Jul. 5. The first race is set for 6:30 p.m. EDT.
