Driver Trevor Henry dropped the stallion into third to the quarter in :26.4 and pulled him out behind Wheels On Fire (Doug McNair), who moved up to the lead on the backstretch. Warrawee Vital took over soon after while on the way to a :54 half and carved out a two-and-a-half-length cushion by three-quarters in 1:21.3.
Cold Creek Cabo (James MacDonald) and East End (Louis-Philippe Roy) cut into the deficit in the stretch, but Warrawee Vital had the race in hand and got home three-quarters of a length to the good in 1:48.1.
Cold Creek Cabo nosed out East End for place.
