Warrawee Xalt (Royalty For Life) won his second straight harness racing Preferred-Handicap at Rideau Carleton Raceway on Friday (Aug. 29) for his seventh win of the year.
The gelding mustered early speed and made the front from post six for Ryan Guy and cut a :28.1 first quarter and :58.4 half. He held the first-over Black Tie Bash (Robert Shepherd) several lengths at bay through three-quarters in 1:26.4 and was tough to the finish to win by a length-and-a-quarter in 1:56.1. Black Tie Bash was second over Emma Town Bud (Pierre Bovay).

Warrawee Xalt is now 20-for-71 lifetime with $261,380 in earnings. Patrick Dillon trains and co-owns the five-year-old with Patti Hoskin of Port Hope.
Marie-Claude Auger led the dayās drivers with three wins.
