Charlottetown, PEI – Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park is excited to share the results of Week 3 in the highly anticipated All Star Handicapping Challenge. The harness racing competition continues to heat up, captivating horse racing enthusiasts with thrilling performances and strategic handicapping.
In Week 3, the standings were as follows: Robert Reid Jr. took the lead with an outstanding score of 39, closely followed by Garnet Barnsdale with 36 points, and Dawn Lupul with 32 points. Robert’s dedication and meticulous research paid off, allowing him to make up significant ground and secure a strong position going into the final leg.
“I really needed to turn it up today,” said Robert Reid Jr. during his appearance on the Race Day broadcast, where he shared insights into his selections and his Isle Pick 5 ticket. “I pulled out all the stops, watched the replays and sharpened the pencil.”
It really it paid off and has put him in a good position going into the final leg.
After three intense legs of the contest, Garnet Barnsdale stands at 78 points, while Robert Reid Jr. and Dawn Lupul are tied at 76 points. The battle for the top spot has been intense and closely contested, keeping the competition wide open until the very end.
“This has been a tight battle,” remarked Lee Drake, Manager Racing and Broadcast for Red Shores Racetrack and Casino. “It is still anyone’s game, and it will come right down to the wire. The level of skill and determination displayed by these handicappers has been truly impressive.”
Furthermore, it is worth noting that voters heavily favored Robert Reid Jr. once again this week, making him the clear fan favorite. The support and enthusiasm from the fans have been remarkable, contributing to the excitement surrounding the All Star Handicapping Challenge.
A draw will be conducted during Thursday’s program to select this week’s winner from those who correctly voted for Robert Reid Jr. The lucky fan will receive exclusive merchandise as a token of appreciation for their participation and support.
Looking ahead, the final leg of the All Star Handicapping Challenge is set to take place on Saturday, June 24. Voting for the final leg will begin on Thursday, providing fans with another opportunity to engage and contribute to the competition.
