There will be one more chance to wager on local harness racing this year.
The Raceway at Western Fair District will hold its final card Wednesday before closing its doors to live racing and training on Boxing Day as part of the provincewide lockdown due to COVID-19.
Harness racing will also be suspended at Woodbine Mohawk Park and Rideau Carleton Raceway after previously being shut down at Flamboro Downs.
Western Fair was near the finish line of its fall season, which started Oct. 7 and was due to run three days a week until the end of the year.
Post time Wednesday is at 6:15 p.m.
