Wheels On Fire’s (Somebeachsomewhere) good form rolled on into a fourth win in five harness racing starts in the $34,000 Preferred Pace at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday (Nov. 26).
The gelding the sat the pocket for Doug McNair through :27.3 and :56.3 and slid out entering the far turn when flushed out by Carbine (Louis-Philippe Roy). Wheels On Fire hounded leader Century Heineken (Bob McClure) through three-quarters in 1:25.1 and overcame him it mid-stretch to take the victory in 1:57.2. No Free Lunch (James MacDonald) flew late to nab Century Heineken for second.

Wheels On Fire has now earned $973,338 – one more win at this level will make him a millionaire. Richard Moreau trains the seven-year-old who has now won 45 of his 131 career starts. Brad Grant of Milton owns the gelding.
