Winbak offers strong yearling presence in London Sale

Winbak Farm will offering up 50+ yearlings at today’s London Classic Yearling Sale.  Hip numbers 1-130 will be offered today beginning at noon, and Hip numbers 131-262 will be offered tomorrow afternoon (Oct. 16) at noon.

Here are a few to keep an eye on:

YACHT CLUB (#16) ~ this bay colt by Trixton 3, 1:50.3 ($968,696) is out of the Striking Sahbra 3, 1:56 ($217,402) mare Moms Apple Pie, 2, 1:56.4s ($125,825), herself a winner on the tough Ontario Sires Stakes circuit, and a solid producer of such standouts as Mr Fritter (by Muscle Mass) 3, 1:54.2s ($160,041); Mr Arch (by Archangel) 2, Q2:00.1f ($93,018); Family Riches (by Mets Hall) 3, 1:57.3f ($35,721); and the 2024 freshman Its Not My Vault (by The Bank) 2, 1:59.1f ($23,71).

WILDCARD BET (#59) ~ This son of Betting Line p, 3, 1:47.2f ($1,879,061) is out of the Royal Mattjesty p, 5, 1:58.4 ($1,652,730) mare Revival Cards p, 2, 1:53.4f ($25,853), making him a half-brother to the 3-year-old Stag Party gelding world Revival p, 3, 1:55f ($15,224).

HARVEST TIDE (#108) is a bay son of Shadow Play p, 4, 1:47.4 ($1,549,881), an Ontario foal out of the unraced Roll With Joe p, 3, 1:48.2 ($1,805,102) mare Tide Her Over. Her 2-year-old daughter by McWicked, Mai Tide has just begun her racing career, finishing second by a neck in 1:55.3 at Woodbine in late July.

FLASHY FUCHSIA (#166) is a daughter by MVP, 3, 1:52 ($879,804), and the first foal out of the Conway Hall 3, 1:54 ($1,442,303) mare Blazin Fuchsia 4, 2:00.1f ($7,884), foaled in Maryland. Blazin Fuchsia’s dam, Fuchsia Seelster (by Cheyenne Spur) 6, 1:54 ($303,048) is the dam of 12 foals, including Blazin Fuchsia’s 46-race winning half-sister Flashy Lady (by CR Excalibur) 7, 1:54.2f ($411,231) and her half-brother If I Must (by Muscles Yankee) a winner of 15 races with a 5-year-old record of 1:56.2 and $122,643 in career earnings

EMERALD SHOES (#190) is a daughter by standout Muscle Hill trotting stud Green Manalishi S 3, 1:50.2 ($1,182,017),  out of the Angus Hall 3, 1:54.3 ($830,654) mare Dancing Slippers, a dam of ten foals to date, including: Muscial Romance (by Striking Sahbra) 4, 1:58.1h ($82,724); Dad Leads (by Mutineer) 4, 1:59.3s ($46,646); and Dancehall King (Cantab Hall) 2, 1:58.1f ($41,484), among others.
