CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Wind Blown (Mach Three) grabbled all the glory in a lightning-fast Preferred Pace on a lively Saturday evening card at Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

WIND BLOWN REPLAY

Wind Blown ($5.20) was all business in the $5,000 Preferred 2, cutting it right down the road in 1:52.1 for trainer Phil Sizer and pilot Paul Langille. Nothing Bugs Me (Driven by Corey MacPherson) tracked from the pocket while T H Boomtown (Ken Murphy) completed the ticket. The winning son of Mach Three scored his fourth straight since returning to P.E.I. from the Ontario Circuit for owners Doug Polley Sr., and Doug Polley Jr., of Amherst, N.S.

Adam Merner authored a driving triple and a training double on the card. He started the roll with Doctor Grenfell ($6.80) for owner Milton Young, parlaying a perfect stalking trip into a 1:55.2 new lifetime best in Race 8 from the Nicholas Oakes Stable. He came right back in Race 10 with Imalookertoo ($6.50) in 1:57 and then capped it in Race 11 when Maintenance Man ($9.00) swept past late in 1:54.4, both from his own barn.

Race 3 had Dusty Lane Zoro ($12.80) popping the pocket and sprinting home in 1:54.2, to give 73-year-old driver Don MacNeill the fastest win of his driving career. The victory was also a new lifetime best for the four-year-old son of Pang Shui for trainer Ron Gass and owner Alexis Gass, who bred the horse alongside Aunt Shelley Gass.

Live racing continues Tuesday evening at 6 P.M., at Red Shores Summerside.
