Woodstock season finale set for Saturday

What a season it’s been at the picturesque track at Connell Park where a number of new harness racing track records were set including American History in 1:52. It shattered the previous mark of Chewy Gross which has stood for decades.

Post time is slated for 1:00 P.M that will close things out on Saturday with a five dash card with the feature, a $ 2500 top-class.

Leading the way is Press Time who will look to get back to a familiar place at Connell Park on Saturday – the winners circle. Averil Hunter trains the pacer.

Shawn MacLellan picks up the live catch drive for the Zach Cougle owned pacer. He has won four of his five races at the half-mile track since arriving in the province.

He will have to overcome the outside post-five and One Eight Hundred and Dr. Mitch Downey looks to be his toughest opponent along with his stable mate Watchmaker and veteran Mike Downey in the bike.

Horse Racing New Brunswick would like to extend their appreciation to everyone involved in this season in the province, and for Maritime horsemen and women who came out to support love race cards.
