CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Harness racing driver Mark Bradley put the pedal down from the beginning with You Aint Dolly (Shadow Play) and went all the way in the Cardigan Feed Services Ltd., pace Thursday evening (Aug. 11) at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
The Brendan Curran trained mare was hustled off the wings from post 3 and hit the opening station in 28.4 in her $2,000 assignment.
The post time favourite continued through fractions of 59.1 and 1:29.3 to close out the mile in 1:58.1 for her second straight win for owners Kelsey Curran of Peakes and David Amadio of Port Morien, N.S. She has won 14 of 69 career outings and has raked in $30,909 in earnings.
Lock Her Up (Driven by Kenny Arsenault) finished second ahead of Dusty Lane Zendaya (Corey MacPherson).
YOU AINT DOLLY REPLAY
The race 9 finale had a healthy payout in the High-5 wager as Better Than Men won the contest in 1:56.4 at 3-1 odds for trainer Todd Walsh and driver Jason Hughes.
Pacific Delight (Ken Murphy) was the runner-up ahead of third place Elm Grove Penney (MacPherson) and post time favourite Woodmere Rollily (Adam Merner) fourth with Maggiesdelight (Marc Campbell) rounding out the $693.95 High-5 wager.
Charlotte K (State Treasurer) won the top trot in race 7 for $2,350 with trainer Campbell in the seat for owners Jacinta Campbell and Kent and Bernard MacDonald. Time of the mile was 2:00.2.
The race 6 Grant Thornton pace saw Steelmeatreasure (Hughes) win from post 5 in 1:59 for trainer Jennifer Doyle who co-owns the mare with Danny Birt of Earnscliffe.
The race 3 Michael Roberts Memorial pace was claimed by Black Elektra (David Dowling) in a 1:58.2 front-end score for trainer Jeff Holmes and owner Hardcore Racing of Belfast.
Royoz Allie (Murphy) won the Dino Bradley Memorial in race 2 in 2:01.2 from the Clifford Murphy barn for owner Ryan Doucette of South Rustico.
