Yourtheone hangs on in Georgian feature

Yourtheone (Shanghai Phil) found the finish in time to take the conditioned harness racing feature at Georgian Downs on Tuesday (Aug. 9).

Firing from post six, Yourtheone glided to the front and set down :26.4 and :56.4 first-half fractions. Alex Having Fun (Brett MacDonald) pressured him as the field approached three-quarters in 1:24.

Driver Travis Cullen popped the plugs rounding the turn and increased his advantage. Alex The Fun closed persistently down the stretch, but Yourtheone held his head in front at the wire to complete the win in 1:52.2.

Good And Sweet (Colin Kelly) also narrowed the gap but has a half-length behind in third. The winner was a 5-1 price.

Yourtheone, a homebred for Jodie Cullen, has won 13 of his 51 lifetime appearances and has earned $90,064. She trains the four-year-old whom she owns with Travis Cullen and Ronald Cullen; all live in Dundas.
