Elisabeth Almheden owns and trains the 19 time career winner in 39 starts and this 1.69/1 odds favrorite earned a ticket to the May 3 Aby Paralympiatravet where he will join Onas Prince and Barack Face.

In today’s race Onas Prince (8m Chocolatier-Sobra-Pine Chip) was second at 2.86/1 odds with trainer and co-owner Per Nordstrom aboard. Frodo Cash (8g Zola Boko-Rosemone-Muscles Yankee) landed third at 75/1 with Thomas Uhrberg driving for trainer Steen Juul.

The Eric Martinsson trainee secured his eighth career victory in 32 starts to defeat 5.6/1 Boscha Diablo (5g Traders-Going Diablo-Going Kronos) with Johan Untersteiner the trainer/driver.

Without A Doubt (7m Hard Livin-Without Limits-Andover Andover) at 18.8/1 odds was third for Johnny Takter driving for trainer Petra Friberg.

In the STL Diamantstoet (purse 150,000SEK to the winner, 2140 meters voltstart, 15 starters) the 23.2/1 odds Nova Mahiron (7f Maharajah-Staro Ironmaid-Make It Happen) scored timed in 1.13.3kr. Thomas Uhrberg drove and trains this 13 time career winner from 39 starts.

The 24/1 Cathrinelle (7f Filipp Roc-Serenaz-Daguet Rapide) was second with Orjan Kihlstrom teaming this Jerry Riordan trainee and  Be My Baby (6f Southwind Frank-Some Like It Hot-From Above) took third at 21.4/1 with Kevin Oscarsson handling the Dick Robertsson trainee.

There was grief in Sweden as the legendary trainer Stefan Hultman passed Saturday at age 61.

Hultman trained legends on the trot including Maharajah (2014 Amerique), From Above (2003 Elitloppet), Orecchietti, Panne de Moteur, Naglo (Prix de France twice), Tritun Sund and Lie Detector.

As we move toward one of Stefan Hultman’s favorite, the ’25 Elitloppet now has six accepted invitees – Go On Boy, Logan Park, Borup’s Victory, The Locomotive, the 11 year old champion Etonnant and the local favorite Francesco Zet. Zet trained this week successfully at Solvalla.
