Jerry Riorden’s Aetos Kronos triumphs in Berger Bengtssons

Aetos Kronos (7m Bold Eagle-Will Of A Woman-Muscles Yankee) returned to past form today (Sep. 2) in the Jagersro STL Gold Birger Bengtssons Minne (150,000SEK first money, 1640 meters autostart) with the harness racing victory timed in a sharp 1.09.5kr at Jagersro in Sweden.

Orjan Kihlstrom teamed the Jerry Riordan trainee for owners Team Snyder AB and Aetis Dios AM, off at 3.6/1 as he won for the second time this year.

Aetos left from post six and went to the front, yielding to Brother Bill until out of the final turn when he regained the advantage and drew off. His career slate is now 18-10-9 in 57 starts.

Heart Of Steel (9g Cantab Hall-Angel Heikant-Open The Sky) was second at 6.5/1 with Peter Untersteiner driving for trainer Johan Untersteiner. Night Brodde (8m Up And Quick-Nagajka-Viking Kronos) was third for trainer/driver Conrad Lugauer at 7.1/1 odds. Usain Toll and Brother Bill completed the top five finishers. The final of this series is December 26 at Solvalla.

Aetos could be headed to a superb winter as he seems to be recovering from injury over two years ago.
