The 15/1 odds Calle Crown (8m Great Challenger-Hillary Crown) closed for second handled by Pierre Vercruysse for trainer Tomas Malmqvist. Third was 7.1/1 Decoloration (9g Prince d’Espace) with Gabriele Gelormini up. Dexter Chatho and Fric du Chene completed the top five finishers.
In the Prix de Verneuil (purse 51,000€, 2850 meters for European five year olds) the improving Happy Valley (5f Royal Dream-Mysterious Valley) scored at 6/10 odds, her fifth straight victory and 10th career win now for 137,600€ earned. Jean Philippe Dubois bred and drove this mare for his Ecurie Victoria Dreams and trainer Philippe Moulin. Race time was 1.14.5kr.
