Anact Stakes underway in Italy

Two Anact Stakes Qualifiers for harness racing females took place this day at Taranto Ippodromo Paolo each raced over 1600 meters autostart for 20,900€ purses.

In the first Anact Stake the 2.1/1 odds Gezabel Rob Grif (2f Charly du Noyer-Annetta Effe-Love You) scored “coast to coast” timed in 1.15.8kr.

Cresenzo Maione teamed the three tine winner of 21,697€. She defeated 4.6/1 Gemma Grif (2f Maharajah-Ikram Ferm) with Alberto Garruto aboard and 3.2/1 Girestra FAS (2f Zarenne FAS-Sharon Pride) reined by Antonio Simioli.

In the second Anact Stakes Female the 1.9/1 odds favorite Gmail Road Grif (2f Readly Express-Judy Dragon) scored easily timed in 1.14.6kr driven by Gaetano Di Nardo as she won for the fourth time for 17,628€.

Finishing second was 2.8/1 Grace Breed (2f Varenne-Rosemary Gar) driven by Mario Minopoli Jr. with third to 15/1 Ginevra Tab (2f Wishing Stone-Fantastique Tab) with V.P. D’Alessandro Jr. at the lines.

The Anact Stakes also were raced the prior day at Roma Capannelle. The Anact Plus Males (20,900€ purse, 1640 meters autostart) saw 3.2/1 odds Gioiello Roc (2m Nad Al Sheba-Shimpony Roc) score timed in 1.13.7kr.

Santo Mollo reined the winner to a brilliant victory over 2.9/1 Ginger Gio (2m Tony Gio-Dons Deo) handled by trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro. Gaudi’ dei Veltri (2m Maharajah-Antigone Font) took third money with Antonio Di Nardo driving this 17.7/1 outsider.

The Anact Stake Plus Female (purse 20,900€, 1640 meters autostart) went to 1.12.9kr clocked and 6/1 Giovaz (2f Maharajah-Todinaz) with Antonio Di Nardo the pilot.

Glamour Queen (2f Face Time Bourbon-Peace Of Mind) took second at 3/1 odds for reinsman Alessandro Gocciadoro, with third to 1.9/1 odds favorite Gasoline Bar (2f Donato Hanover-Neverland Effe) handled by Santo Mollo.

The Anact Stakes then moved to Firenze Viserno Ippodromo for three October 29 events again all for 20,900€ purse and raced over 1600 meters autostart. The first Anact Stakes Plus Qualifier for males went to 1.13.4kr timed and 2.1/1 odds Gugliemo Jet (2m Maharajah-Nagasaki Jet) with Santo Mollo aboard.

The easy winner bested 2/1 odds favorite Gol Eagle PI (2m Bold Eagle-Soraya Grif) reined by Pietro Gubellini with 8.9/1 Grandslam (2m Walner-Lindy Lohan-Crazed) third with Roberto Vecchione aboard.

Driver “Pippo” Gubellini reined 7.2/1 Goodbye Bar (2f Robert Bi-Rebecca Laser) to victory in the Anact Plus Qualifier Female second division for 20,900€ over the 1600 meters autostart course.

Timed in 1.15.2kr the winner defeated 1.2/1 odds favorite Gioconda Jet (2f Maharajah-Ingrid di Jesolo) with Andrea Guzzinati driving, and 8.2/1 Gigia DA (2f Ginger Up-Rhianna Grif) handled by Gaspar Lo Verde.

The final stake was the Anact Stakes Plus Qualifier Female first division for 20,900€ and contested over the 1600 meter autostart distance. Here the 3/1 odds Gabadames (2f Greenshoe-Badames) scored easily for trainer/driver Alessandro Gocciadoro and owner Jean Pierre Barjon.
