The 2024 Arqana-Trot Amerique Sale is complete with sessions Wednesday at Deauville and Friday at Hippodrome Paris-Vincennes. In total 168 lots were sold from 308 presented (54.5%) for gross sales of 3,693,000ā¬.
The gross was down 14.1% from last year when 185 units were sold from 268 presented (69%). The average per lot sold was 21,920ā¬, 4.3% below the 22,895ā¬ last year. The last session and cumulative totals are shown below.
The sale toppers actually sold were lot 260 Knockonwood (4m Ready Cash-Donāt Explain-Prodigious) bought by Ecurie Windcut for 310,000ā¬. Philippe Allaire sold this three time winner for earnings of 123,060ā¬ and a 1.11.0kr speed record. This horse is a half-brother to If I Can Tell You (by Love You) a winner of 159,760ā¬. Lot 300 Lizy Josselyn (3f Love You-Cezia Josselyn-Sam Bourbon) was next at 170,000ā¬ bought by JP Raffegeau Ecurie from Ecurie Hunter Valley. This filly has won twice for earnings of 44,870ā¬ and a record of 1.16.0kr. Lizy is from the family of Amerique winner Belina Josselyn a winner of 2,618,970ā¬ and Uza Josselyn with 1,297,078ā¬ earned.
