Groupe events on Vincennes undercard

Saturday’s Prix de Selection day harness racing undercard at Paris–Vincennes was a good one featuring two other groupe events and two more upper-class races.

The Gr. III Prix Henri Desmontils (purse €120,000, monte, 2850 meters, ten starters), a top undercard event Saturday at Paris-Vincennes, went to 3.1/1 Attentionally (6f Jasmin de Flore-Intentionally) handled by David Thomain for trainer/owner Paul Viel.The 1.13.7kr timed winner rallied to defeat 16/1 El Mago Pellini (7m Chocolatier-My Intuition) reined by Mathieu Abrivard for trainer Lutfi Kolgjini and Stall Vitkindade AB. Third went to 1.4/1 favorite Veloce du Banney (7g Quaro-Jiva du Banney) for Franck Nivard, trainer Franck Leblanc and Ecurie du Guard.

The Gr. II Prix Louis le Bourg (purse €120,000, 2850 meters, 11 monte starters) went to 1.14.1kr timed, 3.4/1 odds Canadien d’Em (4m Ready Cash-Kanadia) with Mathieu Mottier up. Franck Leblanc trains the winner for Laurent Edin. Even-money favorite Cyprien des Bordes (4m Ouragan de Celland-Perle des Bordes) was second in a photo for J.L.Cl. Dersoir, trainer Joel Hallais and Ecurie Rib. 12.2/1 Clara du Pontseuil (4f Mich Phili-Osaka d’Occagnes) was third for Anthony Barrier.

The €66,000 purse Prix de Montsoreau (2100 meters autostart, 15 European starters) went to 4.7/1 odds Lover Face (8g Love You-Ambra OK) for J-M Bazire for trainer Fabrice Souloy and owner Bengt Olsson clocked in a quick 1.11.9kr. 1.1/1 Unbridled Charm (8m Password-Intense Action) was a close second for Jean-Philippe Dubois, trainer Philippe Moulin and Ecurie Victoria Dreams. Third was 27/1 Unique de l’Iton (8g Capriccio-Majeste de l’Iton) for trainer Hughes Levesque.

Aero King took Saturday’s Prix d’Alencon (purse €85,000, 2700 meters, nine monte European starters) timed in 1.14kr. The winner Aero King (6g Hooper-Quarmina de Hour) was off at at 5.2/1 odds for Anthony Barrier. The pair rallied to nail 5.6/1 Amour Fou (6g Meaulnes du Corta-Nice Star) and jockey Franck Nivard on the line. 2.2/1 Botido (5g l’As de Neige-Otida) was third for Mathieu Mottier.
