Barjon one-two in 300,000€ Prix Bold Eagle

Today’s co-featured Prix Bold Eagle (Gr. I International, purse 300,000€, 2700 meters, 18 starters age five) at Paris-Vincennes saw SECF President Jean Michel Barjon horses finish first and second today in the Prix Bold Eagle.

The 11/1 odds Kokote (5f Ready Cash-Private Love) scored timed in 1.11.6kr after a pocket journey with Mathieu Mottier the trainer/driver for breeder/owner Barjon. The winning mare recorded her seventh career victory in 26 starts for 372,880€ earned.

East Asia (5f Ready Cash-Elvezia) was second at 3.7/1 odds for Barjon, driver Bjorn Goop and trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro. The 36/1 Executiv EK (5m Face Time Bourbon-Nike EK) was third with trainer Gocciadoro driving for Scuderia Pink and Black. The 2.4/1 odds favorite and pacesetter, Koctel du Dain (5m Boccador de Simm-Ophelie), held fourth for Davis Thomain driving for trainer Philippe Allaire while 32/1 Immortal Doc (5m Brillantissime-Nikita Broline) was fifth for trainer/owner Fredrik Wallin and driver Paul Philippe Ploquin. Encierro (5m Tobin Kronos) for trainer/driver Gaspare Lo Verde and King Opera (5m Ready Cash) completed the top seven, the latter with William Bigeon up.

Next up was the Prix Roquepine (Gr. II International, purse 150,000€, 2700 meters, 13 three year old starters) where 1.5/1 odds favorite Magic America (3f Love You-Tootsie Smiling) scored in 1.14.9kr for Eric Raffin. He handled the Sebastien Guarato trainee for owner J.P. Mucholet whose filly now has four wins in five career starts. Her earnings now stand at 137,325€ for the short career.

Home second was 79/1 longshot Morality (3f Rocklyn-Union Quality)  that is owned/trained/driven by Juien Dubois. Third was the 17/1 odds Mistry Green (3f Love You-Greenpeace) with William Bigeon the trainer/driver for Joel Seche. 60/1 Margaux des Arris, 1.2/1 odds favorite Malibu du Gers, 18/1 Masina de Tillard and 104/1  Muscade Leman rounded out the top seven,
