Bebi Bi says goodbye to racing

The Scuderia Biasuzzi rider hangs up his tools after a career that began with a second place on 5 September 2019 in Treviso, Italy behind Bujumbura.

As for the prestigious classic races in which the “Bi” badge has left its mark, the heat of the Italian Trotting Derby that saw him win ahead of Bengurion Jet and Bleff Dipa opened the doors to a career that from that moment on saw him competitive only in the so-called first category, so much so that shortly thereafter he climbed the podium of the Final of the Italian Trotting Derby thanks to a third place behind Bleff Dipa and Blackflash Bar.

A placement that only a month later was followed by the victory in the heat of the Gran Premio Orsi Mangelli named after Vittorio Guzzinati where in 1.11.8 over the distance of 1600 meters he left behind Balsamine Font and Bonneville Gifont.

Retracing the other stages in Italy, we cannot fail to mention the victory won in September 2021 of the Gran Premio Città di Follonica, where he completed the 2200 meters in 1.12.1 to fend off Biagio Trebì and Brillant Ferm near the pole.

The test in which Bepi Bi most of all exalted the name that he bears, was obtained in October 2021 when in Treviso in 1.11.2 over 1609 meters he took home the Gran Premio Città di Treviso Memorial Giuseppe Biasuzzi, Group I race.

The subsequent second place in the European Union Grand Prix behind Blackflash Bar, opened the door to other placings with the label of “Group Trials” such as the fifth place in the Grand Prix Côte d’Azur, the second place in the heat of the Gran Premio Lotteria di Agnano. The fourth place obtained only a few months ago on the occasion of the Gran Premio Freccia d’Europa, anticipated the victory obtained on the occasion of the Gran Premio Federnat where in 1.13.6 over the distance of 1600 meters, he got the better of Vortice d’Amore and Baika Dei Ronchi.

All this to get to today (Dec. 8) with the third place achieved in the Gran Premio Duomo in Florence won by Vivid Wise AS ahead of Always Ek.

Bepi Bi, however, in the course of his racing career has also been much more, especially abroad. It is impossible not to mention the second place obtained on the occasion of the Elithingsten Maharajah (Elite of 4 years) in the weekend of the Elitlopp when in Solvalla, he finished behind Sister Sledge in 1.09.1. In Boden, the Italian took home the victory in the Norrlands Grand Prix in 1.12.9 over the distance of 2140 meters, it was the summer of 2021.

The test that is probably most remembered by fans regarding Bepi Bi in Sweden, is the double victory (Heat and Final) of the Sweden Cup 2022 where in the first heat he rejected Diamanten and Dwayne Zet in 1.10.7 on 1640 meters while, in the Final, he covered the same distance of the heat in 1.11.6 getting the better of Officer Stephen and Milliondollarrhyme.

After the victory of Group II in the Elitlopp meeting, he returned to the Swedish track to finish in second place behind Mister Hercules in the Icelands lopp at the remarkable time of 1.11.3 over the distance of 2140 meters. Bepi Bi’s most recent memories abroad stop at the summer of this year when he finished in second place behind Invictus Madiba in the first round of the Sweden Cup in 1.11.2 over 1640 meters but did not place in the Final, despite having completed the 1640 meters in 1.09.9.

Bepi Bi enters the breed supported by a competitive career that, as described, has seen him as a protagonist in Italy and abroad but, above all, strong in the blood that flows in his veins. His father is the American Donato Hanover, while his mother is a certain Lorraine Bi, who was born to Lemon Dra and Valley Jean Bi (Valley Boss Bi). Therefore, Bepi Bi is the brother of the winner of International Trot, Twister Bi, among others.
