Big stakes on classic Kincsem Park card

A classic highlighted card was on stage Saturday (Jul. 30) at Kincsem Park following their post Derby harness racing break.

The Kanca DIJ (purse 3,000,000Huf, 1900 meters autostart, six starters four year olds) went to the red hot Csak A Szel (4f Ken Warkentin-Nana-Tony Oaks) for trainer/driver Imre Fazekas and owner Naura Bt.

Off at 1.2/1 odds the winner was clocked in 1.17.9kr for her two-length victory over Celerina Bosa (4f Igor Font) with Veljko Mazsity aboard. Third to the line was Chacha (4f Freiherr As) for Csaba Lakatos.

The winner recorded her eighth career win in just 17 starts now for 15,330,000Huf earned. The stake record of 1.15.9kr was set by Zseneroz in 2019 with Mitja Slavic at the lines. The 2021 winner was taken by Bubajos with Ferenc Nagy II aboard timed in 1.16.2kr.

The Otevesek Nagydija (purse 4,000,000Huf, 3000 meters autostart, eight five-year-old starters) saw Bonaparte Boss (5g Napoleon-Nikita-Crown Sweep) score at 2.6/1 for Veljko Mazsity timed in 1.19.9kr. Mazsity also trains the winner for owner Hico Verseny as he won for the ninth time in 25 starts now for 9,585,000Huf earned.

Bubajos (5f Vanito) was second for Ferenc Nagy II and Benji (5m Cigar Dan) took third for Csaba Lakatos. The 2021 edition of this event went to Alfa Boy with Csaba Lakatos up and the stakes speed mark was set in 2013 by Ollyan Nincs in 1.17.4kr as that son of Pickaflick was reined by Andrea Fazekas.

The Konta Deezso Memorial (purse 1,200,000Huf, 1900 meters autostart, five aged starters) produced an easy 1.14.4kr timed victory for Maugli (6g El Nino-Manisha Vita-Zerberus) at 2.2/1 odds for driver Janko Sagaj and trainer Joze Sagaj from Slovenia.

The was only her second win from eight career starts. The 30.8/1 Diamond Ville (3m Maximus Lindy) was second for Mitja Slavic with third to Dumbledore (3g Maximus Lindy) handled by trainer Imre Fazekas from post five.
