Roberto Vecchione teamed the Holger Ehlert trainee for owner Jean Pierre Barjon, President Le Trot. The winner was off at 2.7/1 odds and he scored in 1.10.3kr, a track record. Bleff came from the clouds to win easily late in the lane. The winning sire is son of Taurus Dream-Bagdad Dream-Yankee Glide.
Vernissage Grif (9m Varenne-Dalia Grif) was second at 1.9/1 for trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro. Third to the line was 38.7/1 Zefiro d’Ete (8m Mago d’Amore-Isotta Fascini) with Giussepe Di Nardo aboard. Bepi Bi (6m Donato Hanover), Zarenne FAS (8m Varenne) and Zacon Gio (8m Ruty Grif) trailed the top three in that order.
It was subsequently reported that former Yonkers International winner Zacon Gio will he returned to his then trainer Holger Ehlert.
