Bolide Lakamy wins Up Star DIJ at Kincsem Park

Bolide Lakamy (5m Conway Hall-Nina di Jesolo-Supergill), off at 2.8/1 odds, took the harness racing featured Up Star DIJ (purse 600,000Huf, 1900 meters autostart) at Kincsem Park ub Budpest, Hungary.

Veljko Mazsity is the winner’s trainer/driver as he won for the 12th time in 18 career starts with six more placings. Bolide Lakamy won eight times in nine starts in 2021. He was timed this day in 1.15.1kr for his first 2022 victory.

Finishing second was Bubajos (5f Vanito) handled by Ferenc Nagy III with third money going to Gigant Wings (8g Quick Wood) reined by Emese Vezer.

On the undercard there were three interesting winners. Catania R (4g One Too Many-Campala RAL-Toss Out) took the Izzy Star DIJ (purse 500,000Huf, 1900 meters autostart) at 6.3/1 odds for trainer/driver Mitja Slavic timed in 1.17.7kr.

In the Illusion Star Handicap (purse 500,000Huf, 1800 meters autostart) the 20.7/1 ZimmeZoom (7g SJ’s Photo-Nana-Tony Oaks) scored in 1.18.8kr for trainer/driver Imre Fazekas, who also campaigned the champion race mare Nana.

Later, the Hunter Star DIJ (purse 500,000Huf, 1900 meters autostart) saw 4.1/1 Street Genius (3m Uncle Lasse-Dats Veronica-Credit Winner) score in 1.18.1kr, his first win in Hungary, for driver Tamas Hegadus, trainer Bernadette Balogh and owner Prolongo. This one was bred in Sweden by Stefan Melander.
