On another matter, the Hunter Valley Racing Stable has temporarily parted ways with its trainer Tomas Malmqvist, issuing the following statement.
Hunter Valley has just learned that the parent company of trotting racing in Sweden has temporarily revoked Tomas Malmqvist’s trainer’s license. Hunter Valley understands that Tomas Malmqvist allegedly administered a rehydration drip to one of his sick horses before declaring him a non-runner, which would contravene the rules applicable in Sweden.
This horse does not belong to the Hunter Valley stable. He is personally owned by Tomas Malmqvist. This event took place in Sweden.
