Bugsy Malone takes Gr. III GNT Paris-Turf

Bugsy Malone winning with ease

Harness racing veteran Bugsy Malone (10g Ready Cash-Night Captain), off at 9/1 odds and handicapped 50 meters, took the 9th leg of the Grand National du Trot Paris Turf (Gr. III, purse 85,000€, 2950 meters distance handicap) at Saint Malo France.

Timed in 1.12.7kr the David Thomain reined Bugsy Malone won for the 35th time in his career now for 1,082,780€ earned. Philippe Allaire owns and trains this fine trotteur that was bred by Christian Simon.

The 6.4/1m Gout Baroque (5m Offshore Dream-Joie Baroque) was second driven by Alexandre Abrivard for Thierry Raffegeau, the trainer for owner J.Y. Roze. Enzo d’Essarts (7g Royal Dream) was third at 8.2/1 for Francois Lagadeuc.

Ganay de Banville (#4) getting up at the wire

At Les Sables d’Olonne was the Prix Louis Bessiere (purse 35,000€, 2000 meters autostart in this Criterium de Vitesse).

The 1.11.4kr timed victor was 7/10 favorite Ganay de Banville (5m Jasmin de Flore-Anais de Banville) reined by owner/trainer Jean Michel Bazire.

The 3.3/1 odds Valzer di Poggio (7m Love You-Glory di Poggio) was a close second for reinsman Nicolas Bazire for trainer JMB. Third was 10/1 Holy Water (6m Pastor Stephen-Longisland Icetea) for Antoine Wiels.
