The 3.1/1 odds Caramel Club (3f The Bank-Noemi Sidoli) was a gate to wire winner of the Gr. II Prix Henru Cravoisier (purse 70,000€, 1609 meters autostart, three year old European eligibles, seven starters) at Enghien-Soisy, France.
The 1.11.1kr (mile 1:54.4) winner was reined by her trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro for Gehn E Ele Srl to her first victory in France as her career earnings advanced to 181,300€.
The even-money favorite Callmethebreeze (3m Trixton-Gilly LB) traveled the long route uncovered and held second beaten half-length with Andrea Guzzinati aboard for owner/trainer Philippe Allaire. Third was the 6.9/1 Chuky Roc (3m Nad Al Sheba-Simpomny Roc) with Gabriele Gelormini up for trainer Santp Mollo completing a top three sweep for Italy.
The 11/1 Ivensong (3f Ready Cash-Amy Crown) was fourth for David Thomain, trainer Philippe Allaire and breeder/owner Christophe Toulorge. Allaire captured the fifth check with his trainee Its Now Or Never (3f Charly du Noyer-Deep Purple), a filly he bred, that Franck Nivard teamed for owner Gitte Poulsen-Allaire.
This feat by Italy and Gocciadoro comes on the heels of two superb victories at Jagersro on July 27. Then and there Colibri Jet (3m Readly Express-Sarsegna Jet-Supergill) won the three year old Breeders Course race named the Premio Going Kronos (700,000SEK to the winner, 1640 meters autostart) clocked in 1.11.5kr with Alessandro Gocciadoro the trainer and driver. Off at 1.6/1 he dispatched Ambrosius (3m Uncle Lasse) and Love You Too (3g Love You) easily. Colibri won for the eighth time in 2021 from 12 starts.
And that day in the PGA Sweden National-Prix Cagnes sur Mer (200,000SEL first prize, 164o meters autostart) the 1.4/1 Bengurion Jet (4m Maharajah-Love Me Tender IT-Supergill) scored in 1.08.8kr by about 17 lengths. Trainer/driver Gocciadoro was again the pilot as they dispatched Toto Barosso (4g Ready Cash) and King Schermer (4g Trixton). The winner recorded his sixth 2021 win in seven starts.
Talking more about Italy in 2021 just add Vivid Wise As, Zacon Gio, Vernissage Grif and Vitruvio to the list of speedsters.
