Superb trots took place this weekend throughout France with some standout winners.
At Enghien-Soisy was the Prix de la Marche on July 10. Raced over 2875 meters distance handicap for a purse 80,000ā¬, this event saw 4.9/1 Delfino (8m Speedy Blue-Miss Volo) score in 1.12.4kr for Mathieu Mottier to record his 10th career victory that raised his earnings to 374,750ā¬.
Second was the 1.2/1 favorite and 25 meter handicapped Feerie Wood (6f Rockfeller Center-Vive Fee) was second for Alexandre Abrivard and third home was 26/1 Freyja du Pont (6f Quinoa du Gers). Ferrari Sisu with Marc Elias up and Ganster du Wallon and Eric Raffin finished fourth and fifth.
In the Gr. III Prix de Berlin (purse 70,000ā¬, European three year olds, 2150 meters autostart) the undefeatedĀ Izoard Vedaquais (3m Bird Parker-Dokha Vedaquais) remained so after now seven starts as he scored in 1.12.4kr as the 4/10 favorite.
His earnings reached 121,950ā¬ with this score. Eric Raffin was his pilot for ownwe/trainer Philippe Allaire.The 53/1 Imagine Darling (3m Prodigious) was second for trainer/driver Etienne Dubois and 46/1 Ideale de Chene (3f Bird Parker) Was third for P.Ph. Ploquin.
The same day at Vichy was the Gr. II Grand Prix du Conseil Municipal (purse 90,000ā¬, 2950 meters distance handicap, International 4-10 year olds) and Rebella Matters (6f Explosive Matter-Mystical News) scored in 1.12.5kr at 16/1 odds.
Christophe Martens teamed this winner for trainer Jean Michel Bazire as she won for the third time in France now for 392,445ā¬ earned.
She bested her 4/10 odds stablemate Dorgos de Guez (8g Romcok de Guez) with trainer JMB aboard for breeder/owner Ecurie Vautors. 13/1 Carat Williams (9m Prodigious-Miss Williams) was third for David Bekaert and trainer Sebastien Giuarato. Be One des Thirons and Crack Money completed the top five and Bugsy Malone was a miscue dq.
On July 7 at Enghien was the Prix de lāArdeche (purse 33,000ā¬, 2875 meters, three year old filies) and the 3.3/1 Insolente Reussite (3f Ready Cash-Mara Bourbon-And Arifant-Etta Extra) was an impressive front end winner timed in 1.16.8kr for owner/driver Jean Pierre Dubois.
This impressive filly for her third straight for trainer J.A/ Hernandez-Navarro as she elevated her career earnings to 37,470ā¬. Driver Dubois won his 16th in 2021 from 65 starts. The winnerās dam Mara Bourbon was an 18 time winner for 1,657,405ā¬ in life earnings. This filly looks to have a bright future.
