Dolce Viky triumphs in Gran Premio Citta di Montecatini

Dolce Viky (5m Adrian Chip-Mihara-Buvetier d’Aunou) captured the August 15^th Gran Premio Citta di Montecatini (purse of the final 100,980€, 1640 meters autostart)  timed in 1.12.2kr with Roberto Vecchione driving the 1.7/1 odds favorite that Alessandro Gocciadoro trains.

He won batteria/elimination B (purse 10,010€, 1640 meters autostart) timed in 1.11.5kr at 5.5/1 odds for Vecchione. In the finale 24.8/1 Vincero’ Gar (10m SJs Photo-Lady Killer Gar-Varenne) was second for Andrea Farolfi with 4.9/1 Akela Pal Ferm (8f Maharajah-Remille de Palle-SJs Photo) home third with Antonio Di Nardo aboard.

As stated Dolce Viky won batteria B defeating stablemate 10.6/1 Cointreau (6m Nad A; Sheba) driven by Gocciadoro and 9.7/1 Akela Pal Ferm. Night Brodde was a miscue dq as the 1.7/1 favorite. In batteria A the 60/1 outsider Caronte Trebi’ (6m Nad Al Sheba) scored in 1.11.3kr for V.P. dell’Annuziata over 20.9/1 Eclat de Gloire (10m Tiego d’Etang) with Loris Garcia up and third finishing Archille BLV for reinsman Enrico Bellei. The 1.1/1 odds favorite Vernissage Grif was disqualified for interference cutting off an oppoenent while trying for the lead.

Separately, at Cesena (August 17) was the Gr. III Gran Premio Citta di Cesena (total purse 37,400€, 2060 meters autostart) with 9.8/1 odds Encierro (4m Tobin Kronos-Olvera-Korean) scoring timed in 1.13.6kr with trainer Gaspar Lo Verde driving. Extra Model (4m Ruty Grif-Sonya Star-CC’s Chucky T) was a game second for Roberto Vecchione and trainer Holger Ehlert/ Third was 2.5/1 Elettra d’Esi (4f Nad Al Sheba) for Marco Stefani and conditioner Mauro Baroncini.

Then at Montegiorgio (August 18) the rallying Fort Washakie (3f Ideale Luis-Ulena CAR-Garden Spot) moved from the back and post nine to score at 44.2/1 odds in the Gran Premio Marche E. Mattii (purse 37,400€, 2060 meters autostart) for driver Giuseppe De Filippis and Picchio Banana Srls timed in 1.16.0kr for her third career victory. Fortunadrago Font (3m Quite Easy-Onice Font-Coktail Jet) held second at 3.4/1 with Enrico Bellei aboard and 28.8/1 odds outsider Fascino Luis (3m Napoleon Bar-Impronta Luis-Armbro Goal) took third with Antonio Di Nardo up. The 4.4/1 Fuente CAS (3m Napoleon-Maya Breed-General November) was fourth.
