The exceptional harness racing horse and sire Ready Cash (18m Indy de Vive-Kidea-Extreme Dream) died of colic this morning at age 18 at Haras de Bouttemont.
The winner of 40 races in 70 starts earned 4,282,300ā¬in his exceptional career under the direction of Phiippe Allaire and Thierry Devaldestin. He won nine Gr. I classics and 23 Gr. II contests. As important has been his exploits as a sire of top-flight trotteurs many of which are also performing as sires themselves, such as Bold Eagle (5,124,007ā¬, 42 wins in 69 starts), Readly Express (2,201,824ā¬), Brilllantissime (958,375ā¬, 10 wins in 39 starts), Bird Parker (2,125,905ā¬, 16 wins in 75 starts) and Face Time Bourbon (3,3292,880ā¬, 29 wins from 34 starts in an injury related shortened career) From 2010-2022 Ready Cash produced 1,058 foals across a host of countries most notably in FR and SWE.
His major racing wins started at age three and continued through age eight. His demonstrated early speed established what would become his trademark as a sire of speed and endurance.

At 7, Winner of Prix d’Amerique, third in Prix de France. At 8, Winner of Prix de France, second in Prix d’Amerique.
This great horse will be missed but his legendary qualities will carry on.
