East Asia wins GP Mifaaf Filly at Napoli

East Asia (2f Ready Cash-Elvezia-Pine Chip) was an impressive harness racing winner this day at Napoli in the Pr Gran Premio Allev Mifaaf Filly (purse 180,400€, 2100 meters autostart) for Andrea Farolfi, the pilot for owner Jean Pierre Barjon.

Race time was 1.13.6kr for this 3.2/1 odds performer. Electra d’Esi (2f Nad Al Sheba-Primula d’Esi-Faliero As) was second at 60/1 and the 34/1 odds Elisa (2f Angus Hall-Niece-Daguet Rapide) was home third.

On December 4 at Firenze the Gr. I Pr Duomo (purse 100,100€, 1600 meters autostart) went to front stepping 3.5/1 odds Usain Toll (6g Googoo Gaagaa-Cotton Waste-Smok’n Lantern) for Vincenzo P dell’Annunziata and Scuderia Santese. Race time was 1.12.1kr. The 9.3/1 Dumbo (7m Wishing Stone-Lipstick Jungle) was second for Enrico Bellei.

Third was Vincero’ Gar (8g SJs Photo-Lady Killer Gar-Varenne) with Pietro Gubellini aboard. Vernissage Grif was scratched and other finishers from fourth to seventh were Archille BLV, Global Trustworthy at 4.1/1, Bengurian Jet at 3.2/1 and Zacon Gio at 4.2/1. Zacon Gio battled for the front end, could not clear and faded in the late going.

On December 3 at Paris-Vincennes the Italian horses sowed well. The Gr. II Prix Doynel de Saint-Quentin (purse 120,000€, European five year olds racing over 2850 ,meters) saw the Jean Pierre Barjon owned Bleff Dipa (5m Mister JP-Preziosa JW) score impressively in 1.13.4kr with Alexandre Abrivard teaming for trainer Holger Ehlert. He was off at 23/1 odds and lead after gaining the top at 600 meters. This was his ninth career victory now for 762,743€ earned. The 2.9/1 odds Happy Valley (5f Royal Dream-Mysterious Valley) was second with Jean Phillipe Dubois driving for his Ecurie Victoria Dreams and trainer Philippe Moulin. Hohneck (5m Royal Dream-Caranca) was third at 1.6/1 for pilot Francois Lagadeuc and owner/trainer Philippe Allaire. Huwanga (5f Ready Cash-Uwaga) was fourth for Nicolas Bazire at 17/1. Hip Hop Haufor was scratched.

 

Bleff Dippa

On the same card the Gr. II Prix Herve-Ceran Maillard (purse 120,000€, monte Interational five year olds, 2175 meters) went to 3.2/1 Balsamine Font (5f Filipp Roc-Issima OK) timed in 111.5kr with A;exandre Abrivard the jockey for trainer L.C. Abrivard and owner SS Eusebro Srl. This was her fourth win for 233,702€ earned. Happy And Lucky (5f Ready Cash) and Hirondelle du Rib (5f Rolling d’Heripre) were next in line. Happy And Lucky was the 1.6/1 favorite.

Balsamine Font

In the Prix Raoul Balliere (Gr. II, purse 120,000€, for monte three year olds) the victory went to 3.6/1 Joyner Sport (3m Dollar Macker-Carla du Padoueng) timed in 1.12.3kr. Alexandre Abrivard was the jockey for owner/trainer Philippe Allaire. This was the winner’s fourth career win for 317,080€ earned. Jakartas des Prier (3m Scipion du Goutier) and Joyeuse (3f First de Retz) trailed the winner to the line

Joyner Sport

Om December 2 at Vincennes was an annual event, the Prix des Rencontres Internationales (purse 18,000€, 2100 meters autostart, 14 International drivers).

The 1.14.4kr timed victory went to 2.3/1 Dahlia du Pont (9g Saphir d’Haufor) handled by the champion of France, Eric Raffin. Epistolaire (8g Quaker Jet) was a close second for reinsman Gunther Lois. Eden de L’Iton (8g Jasmin de Flore) was third at 43/1 for Rhun Wilson.
