Editeur La Ravelle takes Prix d’Embray

Editeur La Ravelle (10g Neutron du Cebe-Pivoine La Ravelle) rallied mid stretch and drew clear comfortably to win the Prix d’Erbray (purse 59,000€, 2100 meters autostart, 16 European starters ages 9-11) timed in 1.11.9kr.

Franck Ouvrie teamed this David Cinier trainee for Ecurie TIM as the Editeur won for the 11th time in his career for earnings of 249,100€.He was off at 49/1 odds and bested 2.7/1 Zonko Top (9m Verenne-Eggental) reined by Gabriele Gelormini for owner Salvatore Iovene and trainer Fabrice Souloy. Forever Jiel (9g Redeo Josselyn-Roxane Jiel) was up for third handled by Benjamin Rochard for Ecurie Luck and trainer J,L, Dersoir.

In the day’s top monte event, the Prix de la Ferte Bernard (purse 50,000€, 2700 meters, 12 monte trotteurs ages 7-9 years), the 7/1 Harvest (7g Roc Meslois-Ramona-Jag de Bellouet) scored handily in 1.13.8kr for jockey Tiphaine Levesque. She handled the winner for breeder/owner/trainer Pierre Levesque as he won for the eighth time in 40 career starts to advance earnings to 165,070€. Horsy Royal (7g Bird Parker-Source Royale) was second at 5.8/1 odds with Marius Durville in the irons for owner/trainer Yannick Desmet and Hotkatissime (7g Brillantissime) was third at 25/1 for jockey Mehdi Lelievre and trainer Vincent Lebarque.

In the Prix Jean Pierre Reynaldo (purse 52,000€, 2700 meters, 14 five-year old trotteurs) the 10/1 odds Jazzman Debailleul (5m Repeat Love-Scarlet Gaby) scored in 1.13.5kr to record his fourth career victory now for 133,780€ earned. Franck Nivard teamed the winner for owner/trainer Erno Szirmoy. This team defeated the 4/10 favorite Just de Loison (5g Quaro-Punaise) reined by Theo Duvaldestin for his father Therry and owner J.C.B. Leclerc. This trotteur came into this race off eight consecutive wins and 10 wins in 12 career starts. Jedi des Brouets (5m Niky-Notre Audace) landed third at 64/1 odds and reined by Alexis Collette for Remy Despres.
