1st leg of Trophee Vert won by Eight

The first Trophee Vert 2022 leg was held at L’Isle Sur La Sorgue in the Grand Prix de Trot de la Ville de L’Isle (purse 45,000€, 2650 meters distance handicap, 6-10 year olds on the turf).

The 1.16.9kr timed winner was Eight (8g Kool du Caux-Reference) handled by Nicolas Ensch for trainer V.M. Goetz and owner Thomas Beauchene. Eight won for the 12^th time in his career now for 170,090€ earned.

The 25-meter handicapped Guevara du Pont (6m Tabler) was second for trainer/driver David Bekaert ahead of another 25-meter handicapped performer, Express Evening (8m Nahar de Beval) for trainer/driver Virgile Foucault.

Earlier Arqana Trot held its Printemps 2022 Sale. 73% of the catalogued lots sold for an average of 12,257€.

The sale topper was Insurrection (4f Prodigious-Rebelle) that Trotting Boodstock acquired for 100,000€ from Haras de la Beauvoisiere (J.P. Dubois). This lightly raced mare is from the second dam of Cuatro de Julio 3, 1:51 (US$520,803), a 12-time winner in 26 career starts), the Ready Cash mare Clarabelle. This is the family of Infinitif, Not Disturb and Viva Island.
