Emeraude de Bais (9f Repeat Love-Haute Tension-Biesolo) took today’s 14th leg of the Gr. III Grand National du Trot – Jacque Brion (purse 90,000€, distance 2850 meters voltstart distance handicap, 16 starters) at Mauquenchy timed in a quick 1.12.8kr over 2875 meters including her 25-meter handicap.
Franck Nivard teamed the Benjamin Goetz trainee for owner Herve Carlus. The winner secured her 18th career victory in 94 starts to advance her earnings to 664,260€. Off at 13/1 odds the winner defeated 2.8/1 and also 25-meter handicapped Gaspar de Brion (7g Singalo-Rolls de Brion-Jad de Bellouet) with owner/trainer Matthieu Abrivard driving. Horace du Goutier (6m Ready Cash-Uniflore Daidou-Coktail Jet) at 4.5/1 and handicapped 2-meters landed third with Hugues Monthule piloting the Sebastien Guarato trainee for Ecurie Saint Martin. Heliot de Bahot (6g Un Charme Fou) was fourth at 11/1 odds and home fifth was 3.5/1 Instumentalist (5m Ready Cash).
