Off at 2.4/1 odds this Daniel Reden trainee was reined by Orjan Kihlstrom for Brixton Medical AB to score in his first try in France. Epic has now earned 448,344€. He was second following Koctel de Dain at mid-race.

Trainer Reden was elated by the strong horse performance following disappointing performance of Francesco earlier. The 9.5/1 Kiara de Vandel (4f Charly du Noyer) was second driven by Alexandre Abrivard for Ecurie la Tour de Vandel and trainer L.C. Abrivard.
Third went to 6.1/1 odds Krack Time Atout (4m Face Time Bourbon) with Paul Philippe Ploquin up for trainer Sebastien Guarato and owner Philippe Barbe.
The duel never materialized.
This one led early and then found room late. East Asia (4f Ready Cash) the favorite at 1.4/1 enjoyed a following rail spot throughout and ended there for trainer/driver Alessandro Gocciadoro and owner Jean Pierre Barjon, The 66/1 Powwow (4m Papagayo E) was fifth followed by 16/1 Kuiper (4m Face Time Bourbon) and 16/1 Koctel du Dain).
In Prix Edmond Henry (Gr. II monte, purse 120,000€, 2700 meters, nine five year old starters) the 1.13.1kr timed winner was 2.5/1 Jeroboam d’Erable (5m Prodigious-Amiraute) for jockey Damien Bonne, trainer Charly Thomain and Ecurie du Haras d’Erable.
Jeroboam won for the seventh time in 30 outings for 387,490€ earned. The 8.8/1 June (5f Booster Winner) was a game second for trainer and jockey Mathieu Mottier for breeder/owner Dominique Mottier. The 42/1 Jezabelle Crepin (5f Dijon) was third ridden by Paul Philippe Ploquin and trainer Michael Izzo, finishing ahead of 58/1 Justers Viking (5f Ubriaco) with Nathalie Henry in the irons for trainer/owner Marie Norberg.
