Eros Zola wins Prix Jules Lemonnier decisively

The Paris-Vincennes featured Prix Jules Lemonnier (Gr II International, purse 120,000€, 2175 meters voltstart, nine starters ages 5-10) saw 1.1/1 odds favorite Eros Zola (9g Zola Boko-Global Lady) wear down the leader to win timed in 1.10.4kr.

Alexandre Abrivarxd was in the irons for C KMK Advisory Aps and trainer Thierry Duvaldestin. Their charge now has nine wins in 22 starts in FR for career earnings of 550,876€. Fulton (10g Royal  Dream)was  second at 5.8/1for Damien Bonne the jockey for Ecurie des Charmes and trainer Nicolas Bazire. Third was 2.5/1  second choice Ideale du Chene (7f Bird Parker) with Paul  Philippe Ploquin up  for trainer Julien Le Mer and breeder/owner Yvonne Guedj. Je M’Envole  (6m Joyaufd’Amour) at 6.2/1 odds and 18/1 Jean Balthazar (6m Alto de Viette) completed the top five.

On the Vincennes undercard was the Prix du Merlerault (purse 62,000€, 2175  meters, 10 three year old male starters) that went to 4/10 odds favorite Make Your Day (3m Face Time Bourbon-Daytona Jet-Goetmals Wood) with Eric Raffinup.

The Sebastien Guarato trainee is owned by Ecurie Hunter Valley and he now sports six career wins in seven starts for 101,550€ earned. Mirakalu Manazif (3f Drole de Jet) was a closing second at 6/1 odds for driver Benjamin Rochard, trainer P. Y. Rochard and owner Lois Saraud, followed by 10/1 Maestro du Choquel (3m Face Time Bourbon) with Paul Philippe Ploquin up for trainer  Nicolas Bridault.

The Prix de Strasbourg (75,000€ purse, 2700 meters, 15 starters ages 8-10) went to the Severine Raimond bred, owned and trained Hurricane Carter (8g Niky-Be Loved) timed in  1.12.7kr.

Yoann Lebourgeois reined this now 19 time career winner in 43 starts that has earned 410,480€. Hero Sibey (8g  Niky-Varade d’Hermine) at 36/1 was  second for reinsman Francois Lagadeuc, trainer Damien Bonne and owner Yannick Desmet. Harison du Plessis (8g O Brillant)  was third for Eric Raffin at 8.6/1 followed by 3.6/1 Headscott  (8f Village Mystic) handled by Anthony Barrier.

Racing action also took place at Cagnes sur Mer where the Grand Prix de Noel (Gr III European, purse 80,000€, 2925 meters, 11 starters ages 7-10) went to even money favorite Ino du Lupin (7gScipion du Goutier-Tina d’Hermes) handled by Antoine Wiels  for the legendary trainer/owner/breeder J.P. Marmion.

The winner recorded his 25th career victory in 44 starts for 792,280€ earned. Marmion recorded his 100th win this year and he has 3145 career training victories. Home second was 10/1odds Hudo du Ruel  (8g Timoko) with trainer Nicolas Ensch driving for owner Christian Carvana. Ibiki de Houelle (7mLove You) was third for driver Theo Briand at 6/1 followed by 29/1 odds Cool Kronos (7g Readly Express) for Christophe Martens.

At Napoli Agnano Italy this day was the GP Royal Mares (purse 121.000€, 1600 meters autostart, 12 starters) where 1.73/1 odds Funny Gio (4f Face Time Bourbon-Amazing Gio-Royalty For Life-Ilaria  Jet) scored coast to coast in 1.11.6kr driven by Antonio Di  Nardo for trainer Alessandro Gocciadoro.

The 4.5/1Emma dei Veltri (5f Maharajah) was second with Vincenzo Luongo driving followed by 4.8/1 Follia d’Esi (4f Ringostarr Treb) for Marco Stefani. Delicious Gar (6f Father Patrick) at 7.6/1 odds was fourth for driver Gocciadoro.
