Face Time Bourbon (6m Ready Cash-Vita Bourbon-Love You) took today’s Prix d’Amerique Zeturf Q1 (formerly the Bretagne, Gr. II, purse 110,000€, 2700 meters, 17 starters) at Paris-Vincennes, easily scoring in 1.11.4kr as the 3/10 favorite.
Harness racing driver Eric Raffin teamed the Sebastien Guarato trainee for Scuderia Bivans Srl. The breeder was SARL Haras Saint Martin. FTB was away mid pack and then moved three wide to loop the field and take the lead nearing the Joinville turn. From then on it was over as FTB lengthened a six-length lead and eased to a three length victory. FTB now has 35 career win and six seconds in 42 career starts for 3,365,380€ earned.
With his victory, Face Time Bourbon earned a Prix d’Am berth as did second finishing 34/1 Etonnant (7m Timoko-Migraine) with Anthony Barrier up for owner/trainer Richard Westerink. The third finishing 10/1 Ganay de Banville (5m Jasmin de Flore-Anais de Banville) also earned an invitation, this one owned/trained/reined by Jean Michel Bazire.
Violetto Jet, Chica de Joudes, Rebella Matters and Feliciano completed the top seven. Zacon Gio finished 14th in his first Bazire trained start in France.
On the undercard was the Gr. III Prix Bossy Saint-Leger (purse 80,000€, 2100 meters autostart, European 4-5 year olds). Here the 9/1 Heliade du Goutier (4f Prodigious-Voltige du Goutier) scored in 1.11.7kr for Gabriele Gelormini, trainer Sebastien Giuarato and Ecurie Saint-Martin.
This was her eighth career win now for 268,724€ earned. The 9/1 Hatchet Man (4m Goetmals Wood-Suricate) was second with David Thomain teaming for trainer Philippe Allaire and owner Kevinj Terbirent. Third home was 40/1 Arnas Cam (4f Ready Cash-Nadia Cam) with Bjorn Goop aboard for trainer H. E. Bondo
