Fakir du Ranch a game winner at Cagnes sur Mer

Fakir du Ranch (#9) holds off Ecureuil Jenilou 

The 9/10 favorite Fakir du Ranch (7g Rockfeller Center-Great Glory) was a game winner of the Cagnes sur Mer featured Prix de Vincennes (Gr. III, purse 90,000€, European 7-10 year olds, 2925 meters distance handicap) this day, with trainer Yannick Alain Briand aboard.

This victory was Fakir’s 19th for the career, now for 309.080€ earned, the last three wins in a row. Ecurie Alexandre Buisson owns this winner. The same day at Paris-Vincennes was the Gr. III Prix de Dozule (Gr. III monte, purse 70,000€, 2700 meters, for European four year olds) with the 1.13.9kr timed victory to Idaho a la Bruyere (4g Quiodo du Goutier-Ninaflores) and jockey Guillaume Martin. Mansour Krouchi trains this five-time winner of 123,940€ that was off at 6/1 odds.

Iberik de Mongochy (4g Un Amour d’Haufor) was second for Francois Lagadeuc also at 6/1 and 5.3/1 Icarus of Citrus (4m Prodigious) was third for Alexandre Abrivard and breeder/owner Jean Pierre Barjon, the LeTrot President.

In the Prix de Langeais (purse 75,000€, 2850 meters for 7-11 year olds) the 1.6/1 odds and 25-meter handicapped Epsom d’Herfraie (8g Rieussec-Thetis) scored on the front end for pilot Eric Raffin and trainer J.M. Baudouin. This was the winner’s 18th career victory now for 386,540€ earned. Race time was 1.13.5kr.

The 25/1 El Santo Haufor (8g Paris Haufor) was second for Charles Bigeon with 9/1 Flamme Vive (7f Scipion du Goutier) a fast closing third for Franck Nivard.
