Fazekas takes two at snowy Kincsem Park

Imre Fazekas teamed two harness racing winners in the snow-covered Kincsem Park course today (Dec. 9), both trained by Bernadett Balogh for Prolongo III.

In the Utalvanyozo DIJ (1900 meters autostart albeit the mobile was not used due to track condition, purse 500,000Huf) the 2.6/1 Ejjell Holgy (3f Maximus Lindy-Night Lady-Tony Oaks) scored for Fazekas/Balogh/Prolongo timed in 1.24.3kr for his third career win in seven outings in HU. Kabala Menes Kft bred the winner. Diana Krall AT (4f El Nino) was second at 2.4/1 odds with Goran Zolnaji the trainer/driver.

In the Unoka DIJ (purse 500,000Huf, 1980 meters distance handicap) the Fazekas/Balogh/Prolongo student Top Of Climb (3g Scarlet Knight-Quacelle-Jackpot du Refais) scored in 1.26.4lr over the off going. This Stefan Melander bred colt was off at 5.4/1 odds and recorded his third win in nine starts in HU. He overcame a 40 meter handicap to best the 20 meter handicapped and  9.1/1 odds Morena LV (3f Coktail Jet-My Fair DL-Toss Out) and driver Gyorgy Fenyvesi.

Top Of Climb and Imre Fazekas

The Kincsem Park operations is fast at work promoting and preparing for its annual December 31 celebration. Racing (trots and greyhounds) and food/beverage/music/fireworks are the highlights of the New Years Eve celebration.

Last week was the December classic Baka Handicap (purse 1,100,000Huf, 4200 meters distance handicap) and the 1.25.1kr winner was 60 meter handicapped Danubia Lux (4f Milliondollar Lux-Laluna Comtesse-Daguet Rapide) at 7.3/1 odds. Branko Skenderovic teamed the Zoltan Ozvar trainee to her third win in 10 starts this year. The 100 meter handicapped Velence R (9f Exploit Caf) and the 80 meter handicapped Wonderchild (9g Miguel Duhamel) trailed the winner. Race time record is 1.21.9kr set in 2021 by Disney HR.
