Feux Verts takes feature at Hippodrome Nancy

The 2.6/1 odds favorite and 25-meter handicapped  Feux Verts (9g Kaisy Dream-Queen de Beaulieu-Indy de Vie) captured the Hippodrome Nancy featured Grand Pric du Conseil Regional du Grand (purse 25,000€, 2600 meters distance handicap, 16 starters ages 8-10 years) timed in 1.14.9kr on Saturday, March 30.

Finishing second with a strong closing surge was 9/1 Galinette Bleue (8f Very Nive Marceaux-Nuit Irsee) that overcame a 25-meter handicap. The 6.3/1 Gais de l’Iton (8f Love You-Olive de l’Iton) was third also facing a 25-meter handicap with Bruno Beaucamp piloting the Hughes Levesque trainee.

At Vincennes on March 29 the lively filly Lush Life (3f Gotland-First Nation-Sam Bourbon) won her third straight in the Prix Fama (purse 52,000€, 2175 meters, 11 three-year old fillies) with a 1.13.5kr tied victory.

David Thomain teamed the winner for trainer Philippe Allaire and owner/breeder Fabrice Simon. Lush Life has earned 45,675€ with her three victories. She was off at 7.1/1 odds this day and defeated 9/1 La Star Roc (3f Aldo des Champs) for Benjamin Rochard and even-money favorite Lady (3f Dragon des Racques) reined by Clement Duvaldestin

Jushua Tree has been resting and test breeding in the post Winter Meet period. Trainer Jean Michel Bazire expects he will be seen on track in June if his condition warrants and he will start breeding mares in May if fertility tests are favorable. The six-year-old son of Bold Eagle-Ma Sissi James-Buvetier d’Aunou has won 16 times in 21 career starts for 722,150€ and a speed record of 1.09.8kr.

Joshua’s sire Bold Eagle is a 5€ million plus earning son of Ready Cash and that late champion enjoyed a great Winter Meet at Vincennes as his offspring shined brightly.
