Figaro de Larre wins 90,000€ Prix Perseus

The Paris-Vincennes program on Friday (June 16) featured monte Prix Perseus (purse 90,000€, 2850 meters for 6–10-year-old Europeans) saw 3.3/1 odds Figaro de Larre (8g Royal Dream-Tornade Mika) score easily in 1.12.6kr with Benjamin Rochard in the irons.

Eueil du Chatelet (9g Very Look) was second for jockey Matilde Herleiksplass, trainer Jean Michel Bazire and Ecurie des Charmes. In the Prix Liguna (purse 46,000€, 2100 meters autostart for European five-year-olds) the 6.8/1 Fortnite (5g Trixton-Sizzling) scored in a quick 1.11.0kr for trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire and owner G.S. Syvaldsen. This was the first win in FR for Fortnite and his earnings are now 76,599€.

Canadian Kronos (5f Trixton-Oakville Kronos) took second with Mathieu Mottier aboard for trainer H.E. Bondo and owmer SRB Team Srl. Grand Design (5g SJs Caviar-Bombastik Design) was third with Francois Lagadeuc driving for trainer Bondo and Stall Rita.

The sire Trixton stands stud in Canada and was the 2014 Hambletonian winner plus he won the Goodtimes, Simcoe, Reynolds and New Jersey Sires Final in his career.

On the card JMB drove four winners, King Cole in race one; Geisha Speed in race four, Fortnite and then Jackman in the sixth.

In the finale, the Prix Iphigenia (amateur drivers, purse 12,000€, 2100 meters autostart), the favored 1.9/1 odds Go To America (7f Bird Parker-Transamerica-Offshore Dream) scored easily for driver Bruno Jouvet, trainer Pierre Vercruysse and owner Linda Vercruysse. Timed in 1.12.6kr the winner recorded her sixth career win now for 120,460€ earned.
