Fly Speed wins 10th Leg of Gr III GNT Paris-Turf

Fly Speed (6m Neutron du Cebe-Iraranda), off at 6.9/1 odds, gamely took the 10^th leg of the Gran National du Trot Paris-Turf (purse 85,000€, 2725 meters distance handicap, Groupe III) raced this day at Pornichet.

Eddy du Vivier (7g Rolling d’Heripre-Quilla du Vivier) at 10/1 odds was a neck back second for Cedric Terry, trainer Patrick Terry and breeder/owner Jean Yves Lecuyer. 44/1 odds and 50-meter handicapped Fric du Chene (6m Nobody du Chene-Oseille du Chene) was third for Gabriele Gelormini, trainer Julien LeMer and breeder/owner Claude Guedj. A pair for 25 meter penalized trotteurs, Elie de Beaufour and Fairplay d’Urzy, completed the top five finishers.

On September 6 at Craon was held the Gr. III Prix V and B (purse 70,000€, 2775 meters distance handicap, 6-10 year olds on the turf, the trophee vert conditions) with victory to the 25-meter penalized Elvis du Vallon (7m Reve de Beylev-Premiere de Beylev) reined by David Thomain for trainer Charles Cuiller.

Elvis advanced his life earnings to 570,390€ with this his 16^th career victory. Clarck Sotho (9g Oiseau de Feux) was second for Guillaume Martin overcoming his 25-meter handicap. Duel du Gers (8g Quaker Jet) took third for trainer/driver Matthieu Abrivard, also a 25-meter penalized performer.
