Four groupe events highlighted today’s (August 27) eight race Vincennes program.
The first was the Gr. III Prix Phact (purse 80,000€, monte, 2175 meters for three year olds) and 7.5/1 Jalisco Fligny (3m Brillantissime-Dona Fligny) was an impressive 1.13.9kr timed winner for jockey Eric Raffin.
Franck Leblanc owns and trains the now four-time winner for 86,450€ earned. Jelyson (3m Timoko) was second at 1.9/1 odds with Yoann Lebourgeois up for trainer Alexandre Pillon. The 72/1 outsider Jab de Mye (3m Lets Go Along) was third for Christopher Corbineau.
The Prix de Lury Sur Arnon (purse 51,000€, 2100 meters autostart, European four year olds) saw 4/1 Cocco BFC (4m Varenne-Softail Effe) score in 1.10.8kr with Franck Ouvrie up for trainer Vitale Ciotola. The now three-time winner of 111,270€ is owned by Luca Finotti.
Isla Jet (4f Bold Eagle-Ulla Jet) was second at 8/1 for Eric Raffin and trainer Tomas Malmqvist. 9/1 Cash Bank Bigi (4f The Bank-Settenote Club) was third for Franck Nivard driving for Fabrice Souloy.
The featured Yearling Cup 2022 – Arqana Trot (Gr. III, purse 150,000€, 2700 meters, three year olds) went to 3.7/1 odds Jack Tonic (3m Charly du Noyer-lars de Touchyvon) with Theo Duvaldestin teaming for Ecurie Haras des Quatre Vents and trainer Thierry Duvaldestin. This was his sixth career win for 117,850€ earned.
Jazzy Perrine (3f Django Riff-Trendy Perrine) was second at 2/1 odds for Eric Raffin and trainer Tomas Malmqvist. Joker des Molles (3f Eridan) took third at 8.9/1 odds for Louis Beaudouin and conditioner J.M. Baudouin and owner Philippe Dewulf. Race time was 1.14.2kr.
The Gr. III Prix de Provence (purse 90,000€, 2700 meters, European 5-7 year olds) went to 1.13.5kr timed and 4.4/1 odds Free Man (7m Ready Cash-Olly Star) reined by Alexandre Abrivard for trainer L.C. Abrivard and owner J.P. Barjon. Free Man won for the 14th timed in his career now for 388,590€ earned.
The 4.1/1 Belker (6m Scarlet Knight-Oki I Can) was second for trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire and owner MM Horse Power AB. Al Capone Stecca (6m Napoleon Bar) took the third check at 35/1 odds for Franck Ouvrie driving the Fabrice Souloy trainee.
Fulton (7g Royal Dream-Pivione) took the Gr. II monte Prix Camille Lepreq (purse 120,000€, 2175 meters, International 6-10 year olds) timed in 1.10.9kr for jockey Damien Bonne, trainer Jean Michel Bazire and Ecurie des Charmes.
