Francesco Zet sets world record

Francesco Zet (6m Father Patrick-Shaqline-Credit Winner) was superb this day (Aug. 24) to win the Sundsvall Open (purse to winner 86,000€, 2140 meters autostart, STL Gold) at Bergsaker racecourse in Vasternorrland, Sweden. He was at 2.11/1 odds second choice and reined by Orjan Kihlstrom, timed in 1.09.4kr or mile rate 1:51.66, making it a world record.

Daniel Reden/Stall Zet train and own this 25-time career winner in 30 starts. His career earnings advanced to 2,045,898€ with this Sundsvall triumph in world record time for the 2140 meters distance (1.33 miles).

The 37.33/1 Mellby Jinx (6g Ready Cash-Heavens Door-Muscle Hill) was second capitalizing on a pocket trip with Erik Adielsson teaming the Daniel Wajersten trainee. Third was the 2.08/1 odds favorite Borups Victory (6m Googoo Gaagaa-Borups Julia-Naglo) with trainer Wajersten driving for Stall Droad.  Borups Victory set much of the pace and held gamely.

High On Pepper (6g Ready Cash-Piece Of Work-Yankee Glide) was fourth with Jorma Kontio driving for Katja Melkko at 13.95/1 odds. Tina Dale Brauti or Norway bred this one. Fifth was 17.22/1 Great Skills (6f Ready Cash-Prowess Kronos-Andover Hall) reined by Ulf Ohlsson for trainer Wajersten.
