Gadget du Gade takes Prix Callisto

Gadget du Gade (8g Aladin d’Ecajuel-Razzia du Gade) off at 10/1 odds rallied past rivals in late stretch to win the Vincennes featured Prix Callisto (purse 68,000€, 2850 meters, 18 monte starters ages 7-11) this evening (June 21) timed in 1.12.8kr.

Celine Eliane Lemaire rode the winner for J.F. Senet training for Ecurie du Damier. The winner now has 13 career victories in 87 starts for 260,714€ earned.

Hotline de Carsi (7f Vigove) was a 9/1 second with Guillaume Martin in the irons for trainer/owner J.F. Senet. The 2.5/1 odds favorite Harvest (7g Roc Meslois) held third with Camille Levesque aboard for owner/trainer Pierre Levesque. Here I Go Again (7g Ludo de Castelle) was fourth at 17/1.

The Sunday Champions Day at Vincennes is a festival of the finest food, music, children’s activities and the finest trotting. There are five groupe I contests on the card and two Gr. III events. The groupe I tests include three Etrier finals for monte for four- and five-year-olds plus the Prix Rene Balliere and Prix Albert Viel (three-year-olds).
