Gareth Boko rallies for Group III win

The Gr. III Tippmix Jozef Marschall Memorial (purse 9,000,000Huf, 1800 meters autostart) at Kincsem Park, Hungary saw the international top level trotter Gareth Boko (9m Make It Happen-Vanilla Boko-Pine Chip) rally from the back of the pack to score easily in 1.12.7kr with Jaap van Rijn at the lines.

Goran Zolnaji trains the winner locally for Boko Stables of Holland. This was his first win in Hungary, and it raised his life earnings to 244,801,600HUF. He was off as the 1.9/1 odds favorite.

River Flow (6m Baltimore As-Annabelle As-Pablo As) was a game second for driver Christophe Schwarz and trainer Robert Grumuller of Germany. Third was 3/1 Halva Von Haithabu (Here Comes Joey – Ada-Noble Stardom) with Kornelius Kluth aboard for trainer Gerhard Holtermann. The 2.6/1 second choice Maugli made a miscue at the start.

On the undercard was the Hungaria DIJ 108^th Edition (purse 4,000,000Huf, 2560 meters distance handicap) and the German invader Perfecto (3g Love You-Bright Light BFI-Tritomm Sund) scored in 1.16.9kr at 5/1 odds. Christophe Schwarx teamed this colt for trainer Robert Grumuller.

Two 60 metetr handicapped performers were next starting with second finishing 6.5/1 Bonaparte Boss (5g Napoleon) for Veljko Mazsity and then third finishing 20/1 Zante Font (7f Quaker Jet) for Goran Zolnaji. Perfecto

Next was the Istvan Segedey Memorial (purse 1,200,000Huf, 1900 meters autostart) and 2/1 odds Adriani Asti (6f Frullino Jet-Cameron Diaz-Baltic Speed) scored in 1.16.4kr for trainer/driver Veljko Mazsity. She bested Zona (7f Offenbach Bigi) with Emil Csordas up and third finishing Il Duce Boko (7m Muscle Hill) handled by Jaap van Rijn. The winner now has 11 wins in 34 starts with this her first 2022 in in seven outings.

On the earlier portion of the card the 2.1/1 Bobby Fischer (5g Miguel Duhamel–Izzy Star-Valley Guardian) won the Lazslo Fekete Memorial (purse 700,000Huf, 1800 meters autostart) by open lengths in a quick 1.13.3kr handled by trainer Balazs Juhasz as he defeated Bonus RG and Valentino.

The Elegant Yankee DIJ (purse 600,000Huf, 1800 meters autostart) the 3.3/1 odds Premal MS (4g Dream Vacation–Principessa OVI-Super Arnie) scored easily in 1.14.7kr/ Mitja Slavic teamed the winner trainer by Mitka Slavic Jr. He was a seven-length winner over Corvo Baba (4g Exploit Caf) and Coach Degli Dei (4f Brillantissime).
